Mission Statement MY ID
MY ID is validated by meeting YOU. Meeting the Other Halfway. Discussing this IDea will help us to have the perception of strangers and minorities and to accept them with their history and culture as a part of the European history and culture. With this environment we create an image of all participating countries as multicultural societies and show the process of their development. We picture the everyday life, communal relations and coexistence between members of different communities. We emphasize multiculturalism as a largely positive experience- but acknowledge that cross-cultural contact can be problematic and challenging. We stress the importance of the principle of subsidiarity, small scale government, the individual responsibility, empathy and understanding of man towards others in the community, and that no religion can be imposed upon man. This way the dialogue of cultures can show how cross-cultural co-operation enriches and changes societies.
